I'm no expert at narration, but it reminded me of George S. Irving, when he narrated those Saturday Morning Cartoons like Underdog. It seemed to be kind of a comedic narration read, I kept waiting for the punch line. There were parts in there that sounded more natural and less forced, those are the parts that I would shoot for if it were me. Just my opinion.

Hey Chadd,

Well, I'm definitely no Pro at narration, but I'll gladly throw my 2 cents in...

I like the vocal tone and pacing of the read. It's clear and delivers the information well.

However, the overall feel of the read comes across more like a movie trailer than a narration. It doesn't sound like you're speaking to me, but delivering to a large, anonymous audience.

So, a bit more personal, and less announcer would be my take on it.

Cheers,

Good to hear. I was very much "putting it on" for this, and I wanted to get a feeling for what the reaction would be to that. I'll look for a happy in-between...

Hey bud!

Yeah, pretty stiff read. It's more of a stereotype, rather than your style and personality. The buyers don't need another voice. They gots all the voices they need. They need more personalities. It's your unique style and read that will get you noticed over those who already work.

It also needs much more variety. Think of the cable channels that need narration: E!, FoodTV, HGTV, etc. That's where the money is these days in narration.

Again, when it comes to this business and success, it's all about originality. What do you have to bring to the table that isn't there already?? That would be you. Don't try to emulate others. They got there because of who they are. Even if you are going for a stylized read, it's that lil something extra that you do that will get you noticed.
