Welcome! Have a seat and if Julie has any chocolate bars left maybe she'll share.
This is a very nice neutral board to discuss things on.

Thanks Michael. This place looks neat.

Hola, Colin! Glad to see ya here :)
I hope I am not Julie's worst nightmare with over 3500 posts over at Savvy. (I was once accused of being "unstable" as Savvy's top poster.)

I don't know that you can change your sign in name unless you just re-register and use your actual name. Maybe the site administrator can I don't think so though.

Colin, Good to have you hear!
(BTW, I don't think you're being unstable has a thing to do with VO123, or did I misread what you mean?? :D :D )

Someone once wrote on the Savvy forum while lambasting me in kind of a hysteria that they see me post everywhere, all over the place and that somehow made me "unstable." It's a comment you don't soon forget.

Sorry Grant. I can be such a dolt at times. But, fairly stable. The V123 staff on the other hand...

An admin would need to go into your profile and make the change. Or you could create another account with the name you would like to use and ask them to delete the colincam account.

There's a new candidate for that honor over there now. I'm not going to mention any names but I do believe his idol is Barry Bonds.

Welcome, Everyone. Glad to have you meeting here now.
I'd offer everyone chocolate if I could.
Amanda made an avatar gif for me with a chocolate bar that talks...but I'm trying to figure out how to make it small enough!!!
Colin,
You're confusing Julie's "Nightmare" with Julie's "dream." you can post all you want here! You may have posted a lot there... but you were always there to help anyone who needed it... and THAT is a DREAM member!!!!
I'll go into admin panel and change your name. What do you want me to change it to?
Julie

Julie, it's so nice to talk directly with you finally. I apreciate your compliment very much. I hope I didn't offend you when I posted a major thread over at Savvy... "Hey, everyone over to Julie's place!" I don't want to stress your resources.
One thing about me... I may upset some people at times but God knows I mean well.
I wonder if you can make it say "Colin Campbell" on my posts instead of my user name. I don't even know if that's possible. Is there some kind of "display name" field or some such.
Keep Joe J. Thomas (one of you newest members) in mind for those sort of support questions. He is a wonderfully helpful, supportive and humorous person. And... sharp as a tack.
We can all help each other! If there is anything I can do for you Julie, please let me know. I am particularly good at audio production as you may know. I can pitch in anytime.

Thanks, Colin. I just figured if I'm staring at it most days too, it might as well follow me here...
Also, to whomever named this topic, please PLEASE edit and take out the apostrophe! It denotes a possessive where there is none, as in "Al's diner" or "Blake's 7".
:)
Sorry to be a grammar hog; it's my day job...
Colin Campbell

Seth, I named the topic. "It's" is a contraction of "It is." "It is just me." It's right.

There is NEVER an apostrophe when you are using the word ITS
Oh, and Hi Colin!

There is NEVER an apostrophe when you are using the word ITS
Oh, and Hi Colin!
That is just so not true. "It's" is a contraction of "It is." "Its" is the posseisive (going against the normal rules.) LOOK IT UP.
It's me! (It is me.)
Its name. (The thing's name.)
TRUST ME ON THIS. Or better yet, look it up. Or... ask Scott Pollak, the grammar king. (Where is he by the way... he needs to join here.)
Oh and Hi... KatsVoice... is that you Kat? If so, I'll withdraw the ruler I've just slapped down on the desk.

That would be true if it was INTRODUCTION IS, maybe (as seen in "the introduction's a stepping stone to getting to know someone"), but not in this case.
In this case, it is the plural form of INTRODUCTION. Therefore, one S, no apostrophe.

and yes there are times when you should use apostrophes in ITS.
"It's alive!"
"It's Monty Python's Flying Circus"
"It's in the way that you use it"
"It's not over 'till it's over"
and
"It's coming this way!"
are but a few examples...

How strange...but I'm wrong.
lol
ITS should never have an apostrophe when used in a possessive form.
Sorry

Sorry Colin....

sorry, Colin, didn't mean to jump on you. I was an a$$ there...
I meant the entire forum name of WELCOME/INTRODUCTIONS.
It's got an apostrophe in it.
Like a quill on an elephant.
Except different.

Ah... I see that now. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Yes... there is no apostrophe in "introductions." You are correct sir.
