Hey Gang,
Here's my brief review of Julie's Medical Mumbo CD set.
(available from http://www.voice-overs.com)
If anyone else has listened to it, feel free to chime in.
Also, James and Penny will be having a Free Call on March 14th (7pm PST) with Julie.

On to the review:
In the past, I've shied away from auditioning for medical reads. Although the jobs were in the right pay range, and lend themselves to repeat clients, the terminology was daunting at first glance.
Julie's Medical Mumbo 2 CD set is a recording of an actual class session, cut down to fit under 2 hours of listening. I took my time and casually listened over a 2-day period. It was encouraging to hear people of different levels (M.D. to newbie), and the advice given by Julie for each read.
The inside cover of the CD case has some copy on it, that I thought at first was a joke. It's wall-to-wall jargon! But it is the copy that is used by the students on the CD. Really educational to hear how to approach this type of read without it coming off as dull, or stumbling over every other word. Julie also gives some links to sites that can help with pronunciation.
Overall, I liked it. It definitely encouraged me to dip my toes in the water and give some medical auditions a try.
If you're interested in this type of read, I'd say listen in on the call March 14th. (they also send you the audio if you can't attend). I think there's even a special discount offered...

My 2 cents,
