I'm trying to figure out how to layer my voice for a hardsell, "monster truck voice", spot...It's almost a screaming ad and I'm having trouble getting the right processing for my vo. I've talked to a few people and they said to try layering but I can't seem to figure it out...Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Johnny,
Would help to hear your VO, also what recording software are you using? Would make it easier to help with these. I've done these types of spots before in my years of radio, but I tend to do it naturally with my voice and add some echoes and a few other effects.

I just put a demo up on the hot seat...The second spot is the one I'm trying to figure out what else to do to my vo to make the spot better...I'm using Audition, right now I run my voice through
30 Band Classic V
Classic soft Knee (dynamic processing)

Is this more what you're looking for? I just lowered the pitch using pitch bender. Still you, just has more of that Sunday Sunday Sunday feel. Some other tricks I use is to use the on hold filter and double up my voice.

Split the track where you want to layer, I use sometimes three tracks in the multi track window and "stack" my voice, then using the pan feature, pan one of them 50R and the other 45L, this creates a false stereo effect and on the mixdown, don't compress or hardlimit to heavy or you'll lose the effect you're listening for.
You can also layer the voices by doing the same thing only moving the blocks so that you're talking over yourself at the end of the statements.
Try the read, with several inflections of key positioning statements in the commercial doing what the others suggested with phone filters, flange, distortion.
Hope that helped

Scott's answer is probably more of what you're looking for, I was just hearing monster truck sound and not thinking too much about what you asked about which was layering.
