David,

Quick observations:

- marvelous voice! Wow. What I'd give to have a tone and timbre and gravity that you have here. What a gift!

- Nicely read overall. Sounds VERY much like what we're used to hearing in audiobooks. Nice pacing, good feeling overall. You have the techniques down, no doubt about it. I believe that you're living the story more than just reading it.

- My one niggling complaint: Rushed / lazy enunciation that at times makes words very difficult to understand. Examples:

"... that (barrow? borough?) of superb sunsets..."
"... may chance upon a (quite? quiet) bystreet..."
"... which deals (entye-lee) in second-hand volumes..."

And so on.

But man, I could listen to you read all day!

Thank you Scott.I recently have been reading the newspapers for the blind and hearing impaired which has required an extreem attention to s-l-o-w articulation.I believe it has been invaluable in improving the very issues you pointed out.David

Very nice indeed.

Your acting abilities are prominently displayed here.

As Scott pointed out there can be some head scratching when it comes to a few of
pronunciations -as they are so deeply wrapped in you luscious accent. It might be
best to keep yourself aware of these little pools. Though I love the pronunciations,
most Americans will be hopelessly lost.

Overall this morsel, is very lovely - I want more.

Thank you kind Sirs. Perhaps I should quit while ahead, but as I love this book, here is a little more of Christopher Morley. The Haunted Bookshop
