Well, I guess I get to end July on a high note. Yesterday I was notified that I booked the MediacomToday.com project via Voices.com which includes 3 TV commercials. The ad agency is out of New York so I'm not sure if that is where the spots will air or if they will hopefully air on a National level in the US. Either way would be cool.
Also, today I was sent 2 more TV Commercials from a regular client that will air in the Washington State and Vancouver area in August.
And, I was contacted by the clients I voiced some political spots for last year during the '08 elections. Apparently they have some more stuff coming up and wanted to line up VO talent which includes me.
Looks like August will be a good month as well.

Go Jon!
Yeah, I read for that one too - kudos... looks like a nice gig.
Might lead to more too,

Thanks guys. It's really starting to get to be a ton of fun voicing these gigs.
Kenneth -- The TV spots are for Northwest ENERGY STAR Homes. I've already voiced about 10 spots for them in the last few months that have played on the Radio and TV. I think the last batch payed in the Eugene, Oregon and Spokane areas.
Joe - Dude, that floors me. I'm really not sure what to say. It does look like a nice gig and I'm honored to book it. We'll see where it leads.

Thanks again for the props.
James - We'll have to see where the spot lands. Either way, its still a nice little gig.
Scott - I'm humbled by your comment. I've been in such awe over your talent and VO skills that I take that as a huge compliment. I'm still the apprentice learning from the masters such as yourself. Big Dittos back at you.
Jodie - Thanks. I'm just doing what I can to someday reach the plateau that you, Scott, Joe and the other very talent VO folks are at on this forum. I still have a long way to go though.

Plateau? Oh god. I hope not! :D We're all climbing that mountain! I don't think any of us will realize we've reached the top until we're on our way down on the other side. ;)
You're doing *great*. :D

Many people don't realize how hard it is to get those gigs rolling in.
Outstanding Jon!

Thanks. Dude, I certainly did not do this sitting on my back side and wishing it would roll in. My VO path has taken some time to get to this point, but then again I took many wrong turns. A positive attitude, practice, and just having a great time auditioning and recording has sure helped.
Morgan - Thanks man.
And it gets better. I've been handed 4 more Radio commercials to read for North West ENERGY STAR this week and there are more to come. Also, I was contacted by a client that I recorded a commercial for in May and they want to extend the use of it for 3 more weeks in September which means I get more pay for the gig without the need to record anything. I like those kinds of gigs.
