This is kind of cool.

Got a call a few weeks ago from an out-of-state producer who found me via a web search, looking for a local Atlanta talent to do live, on-site, off-camera, "voice of God" announcing for an upcoming 3-day convention here in Atlanta. I gave him a quote and landed it. Plus I'll be voicing a handful of pre-produced videos as well that will run as part of the convention. It's not quite as big-time as 'Ember's MTV awards gig, but hey, I'll take it.

Wat to go, Scott! It's nice when there's no effort on your part (seeking out the project manager) and you get money!

Excellent Scott! VOG is how I started in the business as an A/V technician. Enjoy having probably the least stressful job at the event. As everyone around you scrambles to put on the show, you can sit back and practice your lines.
Kudos!

Scott, I do a lot of V.O.G work here in Houston. And because of where I work, in the convention industry, I get calls from people around the country asking me to act as V.O.G for their events. It's a quick way to make a few bucks. Easily done in about an hour. Although, sometimes I get the last minute phone calls stating that So & So has cancelled and another speaker intro is needed. Already.

Good luck.
