I'll throw in my two cents and say CONGRATULATIONS. Voices deserves teh accolades. Dave, the CEO, actually called me himself to discuss a potential problem. Great services. E-mails answered promptly, and respectfully. Problems, small in my case, dealt with in a manner that treats the client with respect.

Thanks...I'll be a long time client...

well deserved praise!

i'm a recent paid member on the site, and when i called about the lag in
seeing my listing...i was absolutely stunned to not only have my call answered by a human, but one who treated me like a friend and not an annoyance.

since that time i have only heard good things about the people who run voices.com and their efforts on behalf of the people who use their site.

I often answer our phone in the office only to be asked, "Do you really work for Voices.com?" I am SO proud to tell them, YES! I'm not in a call center who-knows-where. In fact, I (happily) left a call center job to be here.

Kudos to Stephanie and Dave for establishing such a great company, kudos to my team members Carol and Laurynda, and oh hey, while I'm at it, kudos to me, too!

Congratulations to everyone at Voices.com! As someone who consults on client/business relations, you guys are truly setting a high standard in the industry. Your motivation to start with a clean and simple business model and following that with community involvement (blogs and podcasts) is putting you leagues ahead of the rest. VoiceBank.com may be an agency "standard," but when it comes to individuals, Voices.com is my first stop.

Haha! While we're at it, I've had a complementary subscription to CRM for awhile now. I was about to send them a "No, Thank you" but I'll continue just for the Voices.com spot.

First, Seth, thanks for the happy dance - much appreciated :)

Bret, I'm overwhelmed by your compliments! I'm going to send the rest of the team in here to see them. Thank you so much :) We love to get everyone involved in what we do and I'm glad that you see the value in it.

I must admit, something I love more than anything is to see comments flying fast and furious on the VOX Daily blog. I've been seeing a lot of that today and it just makes me smile.

Ah, sometimes there are no words ;)

YEAH!!! Excellent job voices.com! I'd have voted for you ... your customer service is top notch. You are always responsive to our needs, and we always know we're heard when we contact you.

I am most amazed at how quickly I get a response... good job Dave, Stephanie, Carol, Laurynda, and Erica... did I miss anyone? I hope not. It takes every one of you to earn an award like that... because every single person in an organization can impact customer service! Stephanie... you've got a great team there! I'm proud to be a member of voices.com!

What if our experience is not quite so good? After only about 3 weeks of being a premium member at Voices.com I received a response to one of the leads I answered (quicker initial response than I got at Voice123). The voice seeker said he liked my voice and thought I would be a good choice for his project but asked if I could reduce my price by $25. Since the reduced rate was still reasonable for a simple IVR job, I immediately wrote back and agreed to knock down my fee. I never heard back from him. I even called him and left a message
but still nothing.

In fairness, I have not contacted anyone at Voices to ask them to look into this to see if perhaps there has been some miscommunication. And I am pleased that Voices makes the seeker's contact information available so that I could place the phone call.

Hi Lee,

Thank you for letting me know. Were you in a contractual agreement with the client?

If you enter into an agreement, particularly if you use SurePay, we will be able to mediate on your behalf with the client more effectively.

Should you have any questions about a job, please contact Erica Bontje. You can reach her at erica@voices.com. She's also here on the boards :)

Cheers,

Stephanie

No, it hadn't progressed that far. The voice seeker wrote to me with the following:
"Thanks for the audition. My budget for the 600 words is xxx dollars. If this interests you, please let me know. In either case, you have a good voice, and best of luck with your career."

I wrote back, agreeing to do it for his price but never heard anything from him again.

I want to make it clear that I am not complaining about Voices.com or their level of service. I don't think there's anything Voices.com could have done about this. It was just a case of "S**t Happens" that I was sharing with the community.
