Hey! Great to find this forum. I'm audiobob...Bob Vance. Radio from '75 to '97. Bill Young Productions for a few years, then lead sound designer at VT2 Studios in Houston for 7 years. Went out on my own Jan of '08 and having fun. While the majority of my work comes from audio post production I still want to pursue voice over work and need to get out there. I am represented by Pastorini/Bosby in Houston but get spotty work from them. Just finding out info on on these voice over sites. Do you get work from them or is it mostly a waste of time? Don't want to drop 300 bucks for nothing.

Anyway..great to be here and will contribute as much as I can.

You may want to check out the "Reviews" area for more opinions on the various on-line pay-for-play sites.

Many opinions have been over-expressed in the past ;-)

Hi Bob. Welcome! :) I've gotten some good jobs from Voices.com - and some clients that have come back to me again, which is nice. But others have said that about Voice123... Your mileage may vary. But as the guys have pointed out, reading the reviews can be helpful. So that you know what you're getting yourself into. ;)
