Hi
I'm Abbi and I've just joined today. I took a 2 hour class on voice overs recently at my local community college and I am now hooked. I would like to explore my creative side. I was told I needed a voice coach to guide me for 2 or 3 sessions before I can start looking for jobs.
I live in the Chicago area. Does anyone recommend a reasonably priced voice coach there?
Thanks
Abbi

Hi Abbi - Welcome!

(I moved your post to a new thread - don't want to threadjack someone else's ;-)

If you don't mind my asking, could you tell us a bit more about your background, experience and goals in VO?

The reason I ask is that if you're starting from scratch, it's unlikely that a 2 hour class and a couple of coaching sessions would be sufficient training. Now, if you've got a background in Stage Acting, Improv, Singing, Radio - any of those would help too.

The following thread has some great newbie info - you might want to read thru it:

Lots of helpful folks and good info to help you on your VO journey here... feel free to ask if you can't find anything.

Cheers,
Joe J Thomas
