That new guy!

Hi there, I'm Chris French. Since the beginning of 2006, I have been giving serious thoughts to becoming a Voice Actor. I've always had a passion for acting, but it seems like things in life have just ended up getting in the way for me. Now I'm in the process of clearing out all the things that are getting in my way and actually trying my hand at this! I'm looking forward to finally getting my name out there and doing something with VO. I'm rather ready to just chuck my day job, but I know I can't just yet. Here's to hope. I can't wait to meet all of you and share things.

Hopefully, I don't come off too :idiot2:.

Talk to you all soon!

Chris

Chris, ya gotta be a little bit crazy to even try to do this job. So if you don't come off as that way, we'll prolly think you are really crazy!

BTW - Welcome.

Welcome to another Michigander!

I am just starting as well! Good luck, still looking for my 1st VO gig here in Michigan or anywhere for that matter! I know it will come.

Hi, Chris --
A good place to start would be to check out Scott Pollak's thread:

It's definitely a journey that starts with that single step. And hard work too -- you need to love it much.

Best to you, and welcome!
