Just posting to get outside thoughts as to whether or not this "alternative rock" voice sounds too forced (not the character, the main announcer voice). I think it does, but they seem to like it. I have a classic rock that likes me to yell into a pillow for 5 minutes and give a deep growly read, but that too is unnatural for me. Ever have a client that LOVES the read you hate the most?

If I had a hat, it would be off to you Voice Over Superfriends!

Chadd.... I like it a lot. I like the fact that the voice has a ton of energy and punch WITHOUT sounding phony or too forced. Great production, too. I've never been a promo/imaging producer and am envious of guys like you that can produce such works of art. GOOD STUFF HERE!

Chadd, First off you say "They seem to like it". That is all that really matters. But since you asked...again, stellar stuff. My only observation is that it maybe a bit over produced, meaning too many zips and zings. That is only my opinion, and if they like that, then it is NOT over produced. You, my friend are one talented dude. Scary talented as a matter of fact.

I'm sorry to say that I liked it too! Maybe the client is not wrong afterall...

Good stuff! Very natural (read: NO growly announcer voice at all), and youthful and punchy. It blends in quite nicely with your prod bits to give an "in your face " feeling that imaging is so fond of.

Overall I really like it!

Ooo! I smell the magical goodness, Chadd! :D Really. This is great stuff. And as others have pointed out, if your clients like it, that's really what matters. ;) They're paying you, right? ;) And the production is first class - very energetic. I couldn't stop listening (it echoed after I stopped, actually... so ... really.. just ... couldn't.)

(Maybe I had my volume on too loud? Hmm... )

:D

Shucks, gang... I might have to rethink my whole perception! I can always count on you for a nice response. I am in the House of the Gods/Goddesses, and am so very humbled by your kind words.

Back to the nonsensical zip-zap noisemaking (which, yes Eric... they do like. Maybe too much.)!

P.S. I'd also like to add that I wrote this piece. Perhaps I should keep that to myself :)

I think you picked a tone and style and kept everything consistent, and so no - not unnatural at all, that is it doesn't sound faked out or anything. You created a very engaging style and delivery and grabbed the listeners' attention. I like!
