Hello,

As are many I have seen, I am new here and politely ask for your opinion on my latest Promo Demo. Your opinion means a lot to me, and I do take detailed notes.

I thank you in advance for your thoughts and comments.

Hi, Mike, and welcome!!!

For the first 1:00 I was really in a conundrum here. Obviously you have the chops and the experience, but up til the Disney byte, I thought you had one mode only. Then we began to hear that you have diversity and I liked it.

You have a great, strong voice. You obviously know your forte', the trailer and 'announcer' genre, and do it great. I don't care much for this demo, though, because it takes too long to show that you do more than that, and then when we did get to the Little Mermaid bit (one of my alltime fav movies, BTW) we heard the entire clip and it just sounded odd after hearing short snippets of everything else. It also sounded a bit choppy at one point, but that may have been nothing more than an online streaming glitch.

I think you have a dynamic, powerful, professional voice that I envy. I love your delivery. You put feeling into what you're saying, even when doing the 'heavy' stuff. You apparently have a good bit of range, too. But you need a better demo; one that grabs the listeners by the snarglies, pulls them in and won't let them go. One that lets them know within about 20 seconds the wide scope of talent you have.

But man............. you're good!

Thank you very much Scott. I really, really appreciate your kind comments. My thinking in putting this together was that the listener would most likely give this a fast listen so I wanted to put as much strong stuff into the first minute as possible. It was suggested to move the Disney spot to the front, but I wanted to end strong to leave an impact. I may wish to rethink my concept and comments like yours will help in that decision.

Again, Thank you!
