I recently acquired Pro Tools with my M-Box 2. I would like to use the M-Box 2 with Audacity and I know I should be able to. I have read old posts related to this topic, but none actually answers my question. Wave Driver has been downloaded with Pro-Tools and according to Audacity, I should see the M-Box then on my preferences in Audacity, but I do not.

Any suggestions?

Another question, is the only way to convert Pro-Tools files to MP3 files is to buy additional Pro-Tools software--the encoder?

Thanks for any help you can give.

Hi Doug,

When I first switched over to Vista because that was what was loaded on my new computer the M Box wouldn't run in Adobe Audition, my software of choice, so I recorded in Pro Tools, and then converted to mp3 in AA.

I ended up buying the key and software to convert to mp3 from Pro Tools.

But life really improved when I bought an Edirol UA-25, threw the M Box under the couch and went back to AA.

Have you asked the question at audacityteam.org/forum They may have some answers. AND what version of audacity do you have? That may make a diference.
