I am almost ashamed to have to admit this, but here I go....
For several years now the lovely and talented Julie Williams has been a valuable friend to me and is hugely responsible for helping steer me into a fairly successful v/o career.
I was also highly active and visible over on the Voice123.com forum (savvy) as probably most of you are/were. Julie asked me more than once to try to participate some in her forums, but I was hooked on tradition. Can't explain it, but I was just 'used' to that site.
Thanks to V123 and the new forums which pretty much discourage any open or honest discussion, I've made my final post there and am glad to have had my butt forcibly kicked over here.
I promise to play nice, bring enough treats for the whole class, and I'm excited about the move over here, once I get all my boxes unpacked.
Thanks, Julie, for being a friend. Now I can't wait to meet all the new ones here.

it is so good to see you here, Scott ....
you, like many others on Savvy, made that forum more than just about our voiceover careers. you made it a community of persons who were always comfortable in expressing joys and concerns, successes and failures, and disagreements without being disagreeable..
again, it is truly good to see you here...
now that i've softened you up a bit, can you please sneak in an Amy Grant tune next time you're on the air? ;)

I am not mad at 123. They are doing what they think is in their best interest. But, I am extremely sad at the passing of Savvy. I was there almost from the outset and poured hours into it. I remember some weekend nights when the board was hopping. Posts flying in faster than you could respond. I remember sparring with others doing quick productions, playing oldies, posting auditions. Just having fun almost in real time.
Welcome Scott. Looks like we are setting up shop here. Thank you Julie for providing this venue.
Now... where's Jadah?

Being an easygoing guy who doesn't quibble, and whose internet presence falls way short of corrosive, and who really, really has nothing but kind words for everyone and everything (those MEDS are great!), I only want to suggest very mildly that it's LarSON, Diane: the zaniest guy to put pen to paper since..... (I'm cured! I wanted to say the 'V123 customer service people', but something stopped me. Praise be!).......uhhm...ahhh...hmmm...PLATO!

You know, Robert -- I've seen it spelled both ways -- I thought it looked wrong somehow. Thanks so much for correcting me, Professor. After all, you can't expect us all to be, ya know...

Before we leave the Far Side, here's one of my all time fave Gary Larsons. It fits with our new positive attitude, no matter where we find ourselves!

I like those Larsons. In fact, I zoomed in a little tighter on the first one and discovered something very interesting. :cheesy:

Love 'em!
I always thought the "Crisis Clinic" one suited them better.
(can't find a pic)
You know, the one where the building is on fire and about to go over the falls...
Yeah, whatever,

Hi Scott!
Welcome.
Dark Side? Wow. You're a Sith Lord.
Can you call up Sith Lightning?
'Cuz that would be way cool...

Hey Scott..good to see ya!
I knew, when THEY locked your post about a critique, that the savvy frame of mind was gone.
I'ts like the friggin thought police over there now.
Ah well...onward & upward!
