Hello fellow VO folks. I'm working on some niche-specific demos for upload to my site and Voices.com and would love to get as much feedback from you guys as possible...

PS (To JS Gilbert and others with experience in casting)
Is it more bankable to be converstational sounding in business presentation and training VO or more polished and smooth.... or does it just depend on the client... convenience store, law firm, web related, etc..

I bailed, Alex, at about the :30 mark, when you articulated PREEESENTATION for the second time. It is, of course, PREH_SEN_TATION, or some reasonable facsimile thereof.
You may also be guilty of confusing 'Getting Down with the Listener' with 'Talking Down to the Listener'.
JS is much more of an expert on this, but rather than hearing a buddy letting me in on a new little buzz, I heard a Dick and Jane primer. It sounded way too condescending to these ears.

Trust your voice. Forget it. Be the character.

You're totally right on the PREE-sen-tation thing...as far as the delivery of the first clip, the client wanted to make sure that non-native english speakers could understand what was being spoken. Thanks for your input. I appreciate your candor.
