Well, I have been posting over there because, frankly, it's great to have the ear of the people in charge. I've made so many suggestions that Omar the progammer is probably contemplating slashing my tires.
What's really bothersome is that I know they would have redacted that last bit from my message if I had posted it over there. I have to admit that I prefer online forums that are not rife with negativity and flame wars, but they carry the Pollyanna-ism to extremes.
For example, one of my latest posts was in a thread about receiving feedback from seekers. I made a suggestion that they add a feature that would enable voice seekers to send out a one-click, blanket acknowledgement to all voice talents whose demos they opened. By way of illustration I noted that Larry Maizlish always sends a "thank you note" whether you get the job or not. So as not to appear that I was singling Larry out for the purpose of kissing his ass, I then went on to point out that he is one of the few voice seekers who takes the trouble to extend this courtesy.
They edited out the part about seeker acknowledgements being uncommon. They might even have deleted the "whether you get the job or not" bit. I'm all for civility and decorum but I don't know if we need rose colored glasses on top of rose colored contact lenses.
