Welcome to the board! Here's some advice from someone who's been in radio a long time...In fact when I was a graduate assistant working on my masters, I would give my beginning announcing students this same advice...Take the headphones off and stop listening to your voice! So many of us push our voice when the headphones are on and it gives you a announcery sound...Also find a picture of someone you know and like (that's the important part) and place it somewhere near your mic where you can see it...anytime you talk into the mic, talk to that person! When you talk to someone you care about, your voice becomes more intimate and conversational! This is just advice, so take it for what it's worth (usually less than a tank of gas these days, but still...)!
