You were always there, Mom, to wipe my tears away
With your gentle hand, Mom, you made it all okay.

You taught me to be kind, Mom, to help my fellow man
With your loving words, Mom, you told me that I can.

You listened to my stories, you helped me learn my life.
You listened to my hurt, you helped make it alright.

Sometimes I got mad, Mom, and spoke in angry ways
But no matter what I said, Mom, you never went away.

You've worked so very hard, Mom, even when it hurt bad.
You sometimes went without, Mom, to give us all we had.

Mom, you know so very well, you helped me reach today.
Mom, for everything, I'm so thankful. More than words can say.
