As any well-trained instructor will tell you, if you're not vomiting... you're not doing it right! 
Oh wait... maybe that wasn't about dancing?! Anyway..
My father used to teach at an AM studio waaay back in the day. My wife and I took a few lessons several years ago... although it was more swing than ballroom (or maybe I just don't know the difference).
We learned (and have since forgotten) the Lindy Hop and had a blast... we'll have to give it another go sometime.
