It seems obvious that a book written by a professional organizer about how to organize your professional life would be, well, organized professionally. What is not so obvious is the fact that this audio book would not only organize my mind and my life, but would warm my heart and enrich my soul as well.
Kristine Oller has written a gem. Feeding Your Focus gives you tools you can and will use to change your thinking and organize each part of your professional life. The book is presented in four parts: Career Strategy, Home Office Efficiency, Financial Organization, and Networking How & Why. Each section offers advice and steps you can take to get your career goals focused and organized. Included with the eight audio CDs is a Reference CD-ROM, which includes the entire text of Feeding Your Focus, as well as an appendix with recommended reading and websites that give further clarification and information regarding the topics Ms. Oller discusses in her book.
More than just a beautifully written and well-presented book is included with this CD package. Inside is Ms Oller’s heart and soul. I found myself laughing out loud at some points, especially those that seemed as though she had written them with me personally in mind. Her voice and message convey warmth and a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed as a professional in a creative field, such as Voice Acting. Having spoken with Kristine Oller directly during my review of this book, I found her to be helpful, genuine, and really nice. Her website provides further information and encouragement and her blog is a great read for creative professionals.
I loved this book, and I’ve already begun implementing many of the steps Ms Oller outlines. As this is the beginning of my VO career (congratulations to me for just finishing my professional demo with Nakamoto Productions in Sacramento, check my website after April 1st for it’s on-line debut), I know this book is what I need to propel my career forward and assist me in achieving my dreams.
And in response to your question, Kristine, “Would you rather have the ability to fly or be invisible?”, your book has given me the ability to fly. Thank you.
