A rather shy greeting to all of the respectable talent posting on this forum!

But hello! I'm a 19-year-old college sophomore in the Twin Cities, Minnesota. I've been doing some amateur VAing for fandubs and original radioplays for awhile, and I even started taking acting classes and singing lessons at college to improve my voice and acting. Now I'm attempting to develop my skills further.

Sadly, I'm having quite a hard time trying to find local coaches, classes, or seminars. Although I'd love to go to the Chicago area, I simply don't have the money to do traveling -- and almost all of my money is going to pay my ridiculously high tuition.

On a happier note, I did just purchase a Rode NT-1A mic and am about to buy a pre-amp once I get my next paycheck. Any suggestions for good pre-amps (I'm especially interested in finding out about the quality of USB pre-amps) would be incredibly welcome.

Anyway, I'll probably not be incredibly active on the forum because I have severe carpal tunnel and tendinitis (I had to give up a music education major because I can no longer play my instruments), but I thought it would be rude not to introduce myself.
