Awww...Thanks guys!! I am indeed going in late January/early February and I CANNOT wait! I'm absolutely terrified, but SO excited to run down this dream. It will be amazing to meet so many of you that I feel like I already know. I'll be posting my new address and phone number as soon as I get there. I've been so touched by everyone's well-wishes and tips and offers of help. Where are all the cut-throat meanies in this industry hiding??
Julie mentioned my entry into the New Year's contest where my Fairy Godmother wrote in on my behalf. I choose to enter in this manner because I do feel that this trip has been magical. Just a girl, born and raised in the South who managed to somehow avoid an accent, buying two books to try and learn about this industry, contacting my real world Fairy Godmother - Catherine Sheehan (who I just happened to Google and who spent the better part of an hour talking to a complete newb about how to get started), trying to carve a path....and it happened! :) A most heartfelt "thank you" to everyone who offered guidance and care and especially those who continue to do so. My cup overrunneth, indeed!
