Hey Julie! Oh yes, I was BIG into the martial arts for many years. I mainly studied Taekwon-do, but took lessons in Akido, Judo, Jujitsu, and more! I, too had to leave after an injury. I was in a terrible car accident and had to have my shoulder reconstructed. That ended the competitive side for me. I competed in patterns and sparing...even won 1st place at the Grand National Championships in '95! My dream was to make it to the Olympics.
Of course, things always happen for a reason. If it weren't for the accident, I wouldn't have met the man that eventually got me a job at Disney...and the rest is
VO history! So, no regrets!
I hope to go back one day too when I have kidos. While I can't compete- it's a great family activity!
