Good points on the statistics follies.

Pointing out that the number of auditions per project is down is completely pointless since they are artificially limiting the number. It's like saying there's less pick-pocketing since the government started cutting off hands... of course there is! Less hands, less pick-pockets! Less auditions allowed, and you get less auditions! Wow! What surprising logic!

Maybe it wasn't a typo. The statistics have to speak by themselves, because there's no real data to back up these bogus claims.

And Lee: even with a 60 minute window, that only holds the one you're looking at. What about the others that appear and vanish while you're recording? I'm sorry, but the 60 minute thing sounds good, but it's like putting a tourniquet on a neck wound, or a band-aid on an ebola victim.

The problem is the same as it ever was:
SmartCast and the Rating System.

Ok, I've reached my venting limit.

Off to learn pick-pocketing,
Joe
