You're in a good
VO area... I know there's less animation work there, but there are good agents there, and I think they're easier to get into in NYC than in LA. If you get in with a good agency there, you should do well.
Funny, I'm AWFUL at character voices! But I participated in Pat Fraley's Cartoon Voice workshop when we taught together in Tahoe (just for grins, really confirmed how bad I am at it!) and he's really good. He can take raw talent and season it to perfection!
I'd love you to come here...but more realistically... Pat travels there to NYC to do workshops on occasion... Of course, you have to weigh cost against travel. The workshp he's doing with me is $595... the one he does in NYC is $2000. He does same workshops...but has to travel so much farther to do it there...and then there's the host's cut.
But I hope you can train Pat sometime. He's AMAZING!
